Yocontalie “Connie” Jackson is an award-winning gospel singer, songwriter, producer, educator, and community leader from the Philadelphia–Camden area. She began singing at age 13 at Philadelphia’s historic Metropolitan Opera House and later performed with renowned gospel artists across the United States and Europe. Her song “He’s Everything to Me,” recorded with the Dawkins New Sound Choir, reached the Billboard gospel charts. Connie has written more than 30 songs, released solo projects, produced concerts and plays, and supported fellow artists. She is an inductee of the Woodrow Wilson High School and Camden Halls of Fame and Grammy Voting member and she helped establish Camden Creative Arts and Medical Arts high schools. Her life celebrates faith, creativity, service, and perseverance.
